Contributions
Contributions
are greatly appreciated by the Red Cross. Contributions to the
Goodhue County Chapter are used exclusively for Goodhue County
residents. Contributions given to the National Red Cross or to a
specific disaster are used to help those people who are in need is
other areas of the world. All contributions will be used to
provide shelter, food and clothing for those whose lives have been
disrupter by disaster. The Goodhue County Chapter of the American
Red Cross does not accept credit card donations at this time, but will
gladly accept cash at our office during business hours (9-5). We
will also accept checks or cash through the mail or at our office

The
Red Cross works because people are willing to donate, not just money,
but other things. The Red Cross is an organization built on the
willingness of people to donate their time and efforts to help those
who are less fortunate. People also donate blood so that others
can live. We all know somewone who has been in need of a blood
transfusion because of an accident or illness. Most of us have
met someone who needed help because of a house fire or flood that
caused them to be out of their homes for some time. For major
disasters, we need people who are willing to give their time and
expertise to help others. In order to be ready to meet changing
needs, we need people to donate blood on a regular basis. We have
many people in Goodhue County who donate blood; we have several members
of our Disaster Action Team and we have had several people go to help
with Flood relief, The Bridge collaps and with Hurricane Katrina.
We thank all those people from the bottom of our hearts and hope that there will be more people out there who are willing to step up.

| Volunteers | | |
The
Red Cross needs many volunteers to be able to provide the services you
have come to expect. There are many office jobs and general
maintenance jobs that need doing. We could use help teaching
classes (it's easy, we train you before you start), we need
people to help with blood drives, and record keeping, just to name a
few things. Please check out our volunteer page for more ideas or
just give us a call!
