CPR/First Aid Instructor
Complete our 20 hour instructor course, and volunteer to teach classes at the chapter. Courses are held at the Red Cross building, primarily during the day. You must be at least 17-years-old and enjoy working with students of all ages and interests.
CPRAED for the Professional Rescuer Instructor
Complete our instructor course and volunteer to teach classes at the chapter. This is a more advanced course directed toward lifeguards and health care professionals, which includes both one-person and two person CPR.

Aquatics Instructors |

Water Safety/Lifeguard Instructor
Seventeen-year-olds with strong swimming skills who complete an instructor course can teach swimming lessons or lifeguard classes at the local pool. Instructor classes average about 36 hours and are usually held once or twice a year in at a local pool.

Youth Instructors |

Babysitting Instructor
Experienced babysitters are excellent role models for the students in the Babysitter's Training Class! Complete an 8 hour instructor class, then teach or co-teach this hour course, for kids 11 and up, on non-school days or during Spring Break and summer vacation.
Basic Aid Training Instructor
This basic first aid course is taught in two 3 hour sessions for 9-11 year olds, with an emphasis on prevention and getting help.
